Snippix is a read-only content platform. We do not require you to create an account, log in, or submit any personal information to use the service.
However, we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our content. Google Analytics automatically collects the following information on our behalf:
- Pages visited and content viewed
- Time spent on pages and scroll depth
- Referring website or source of visit
- Browser type, operating system, and device category
- Approximate geographic location (country and city, derived from IP address)
- Language and screen resolution settings
Your full IP address is anonymised by Google before storage. We do not have access to your raw IP address.
2. Cookies
Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to distinguish unique visitors and track sessions. These are first-party analytics cookies. The primary cookies set are:

You can disable cookies through your browser settings or opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time using the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

The analytics data collected is used solely to:

5. Data Retention
Analytics data is retained for 26 months within Google Analytics, which is the default retention period. After this period the data is automatically deleted. We do not maintain any separate databases of user information.
6. Children's Privacy
Snippix is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided information to us, please contact us so we can take appropriate action.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data held about you
- Request deletion of your personal data
- Object to or restrict certain processing activities
- Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent
Since we do not collect personal data directly, most requests can be addressed by opting out of Google Analytics using the browser add-on linked above. For any other requests, please contact us.
8. Analytics on Beta vs. Production
Google Analytics is only active on snippix.co (our production site). Our beta environment does not run analytics tracking.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be reflected by an updated date at the top of this page. Continued use of Snippix after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
