Reflection

I remember working in an open-plan office and feeling constantly under a microscope. Every move felt scrutinized, every conversation an intrusion. The design was meant to foster collaboration, but instead, it crafted an unspoken tension.

The invisible lines between desks, the absence of walls, they all seemed to blur personal boundaries. I found myself retreating into headphones and screens, desperate for a semblance of solitude amidst the noise.

But outside those walls, the same environment brought out my social side. It was the same space, yet my responses shifted, like a chameleon adapting but never truly comfortable.

The Insight

Our surroundings silently sculpt who we are, often in ways we do not perceive.
