I used to think I was steering my own life—making choices based on logic and a sense of freedom. But lately, I've noticed how often my reactions mimic those I've had before, as if set on a loop.
Like that time I promised myself to listen more and interrupt less. Yet, in heated discussions, I find myself interjecting, driven by an instinct I can almost see happening in slow motion but feel powerless to stop.
It's humbling to realize how deeply embedded these patterns are, like invisible strings pulling me back into a dance I didn't consciously choose. It makes me wonder how much of 'me' is really me, and how much is just echoes of past habits.
The Insight
We often walk in circles on paths paved by our unnoticed patterns.
